Filmmaker Statement

VIRAL The Short Film started just as an idea to make my first film not only connect with people but be really good overall, from the story to how it looks and feels. So I set out on a journey to create a story about something we all (humans) are experiencing and how can I make it look like it belong in theaters. My first thought wasn't social media, but it was attention, as I notice in today's society so many people are addicted to attention. From there I thought the best way to show someones desire for attention is to use social media and the story begin to really create itself. I already knew I wanted this story to be told from a cultural POV so I begin to create the characters. And like a puzzle piece everything started fitting together. The toughest part of this process was telling this story as a short film.
