Filmmaker Statement

In the winter of 2024 I received a note to collaborate with Georgia based musician Ernest Greene better known as Washed Out. When I arrived on his farm with a van full of cameras and editing equipment we began making a film that explored the recent changes he had made to seek a more balanced life. I was moved by Ernest’s dedication to his craft, always seeking new creative outlets and how vulnerable he was sharing his most intimate moments. This is a story I deeply relate to in this chapter of my own life. A meditation on family, mental health and the desire to keep making as you enter the middle seasons of your life.
