“Water” was born from my own experience after giving birth to my first child — a time filled with pain, confusion, and deep loneliness. In one of my most vulnerable moments, a young Arab nurse entered the room and helped me shower for the first time. That encounter — between two women who, in any other setting, might never have truly met — became the emotional core of this film. In a society marked by deep divisions between Israelis and Palestinians, this story imagines a rare and intimate moment where those barriers fall away. Inside a tiny hospital bathroom, beneath running water, two strangers become something else — not enemies, not symbols, just two women, sharing pain, tenderness, and quiet solidarity.
