Filmmaker Statement

As a director, I aim to be a part of a new generation of creatives telling stories that speak to and reflect the experiences of individuals deprived of the opportunity to feel represented. I find importance in putting a spotlight on the multitude of stories out there that are worth sharing and delivering a perspective to those unaware of the experiences of sexual, ethnic, and gender minorities. There's so much substance in the life of queer people of color. I want to give space for these stories to exist. I want to normalize and actualize genuine narratives about the unique and nuanced experiences queer people go through daily.
