“Wishy Washy”

Wishy Washy is a web series comedy that follows Adam, a bisexual twentysomething who has trouble making decisions because of the gay angel and straight devil on his shoulders, telling him what to do. All six episodes focus on a different conflict Adam encounters relating to his sexuality, whether that’s the difficulty of coming out, navigating Grindr, or figuring out what to wear. Think Big Mouth meets Broad City with a queer dash of The Fairly Oddparents.
The series was inspired by my own experiences coming to terms with my bisexuality. I wanted to tell a story that poked fun at all the stereotypes around bisexuality while shining a light on the nuances of the bisexual experience. While bi representation in the media has been increasing over the past few years, very few narratives have actually explored bisexuality through this lens before. My hope for this series is that viewers can both expand their understanding of bisexuality and identify with Adam's journey of self-exploration.
