When I was seven years old, I would play at my neighbor's house every day during the summer vacation. One day, she asked me if I believed in God. I answered her no. That was the last day she called me to play. Many years later, an older friend told me that when her nun sister died at a young age, she stopped believing in God. She didn´t understand how his dearest family member could have died. From there, a process of double mourning began in her, both for her sister and for that religious world in which she conceived her life. Through José Matías, the protagonist, we witness a direct impulse, which energetically translates the loss of faith into an act of rebellion against the retrograde and conservative system, resignifying the death of his sister. Motivated by this extensive, solitary, and strange evolution that implies finishing a loss, it is from my place as a director that I needed to narrate a brief story that reflects the feeling of emptiness, injustice, and confusion.
