Filmmaker Statement

This film is incredibly important to me as it’s heavily inspired and loosely based on my own experiences with long-distance relationships. In fact, the idea for it came on the last day of me and my girlfriend being in the same country, neither of us really knowing how to or wanting to say goodbye. After parting ways I was sat thinking to myself, how I could have approached it better, what I could have done to make it easier for the both of us to say goodbye, and that’s when I came up with the concept for the film. With recent advancements in technology that continue to improve with every passing year, staying in contact over long distances has become easier and easier and has led to more relationships deciding to try and make it work regardless of the physical distance. Regardless, it is without a doubt still incredibly difficult.
