Filmmaker Statement

I created “ZA” as a nostalgic throwback to simpler times when a pizza delivery man showing up on your doorstep was just a normal Friday night, long before the days of DoorDash. While I love and support all of the serious and important topics being highlighted today, I felt as though the world needed something a bit lighter to forget their troubles for 11 minutes and to just smile. The idea was birthed from a lived experience of a pizza man asking to use my restroom, and staying in there for over an hour. Innocent in actuality, this sparked the idea of how crazy things could actually become had the situation gone south. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of watching this film as I did making it.
