I make films about oppression and resistance in collaboration with those directly impacted and involved in issues such as police brutality, water access, income inequality, education and environmental justice. I'm interested in narratives that subvert racist tropes. I'm also an installation artist. I bounce between Detroit and NYC and love watching 1930s and 40s films and seeing theater.
