Filmmaker Statement

Made with a small crew on a micro-budget, this student film grew from my own experiences in high school with identities for which I did not yet have language, including autism, social anxiety disorder, and genderqueer-ness. Breaking binaries with a mix of live action and animation, this hybrid short features a queer, neurodivergent young artist's search for belonging and expression on the margins of the norm, as they are forced to create a place for themselves in the absence of one.
