Filmmaker Statement

This is the next chapter in the "Salem Cinematic Universe", building on the storyline from previous shorts set in Salem, MA, and serving as a proof of concept for the feature script. The idea is that beneath the fun and games of Halloween festivities, a dark force has been gathering, a devil seeking to reclaim the city. In this short, we experimented with a typical narrative structure to capture the experience of a victim, as her reality is shattered, and she realizes she's in his grasp. All effects done practically and in-camera.
