Filmmaker Statement

Like many Jews around the world, I have been deeply changed by the horrific events of October 7th but maybe even more so by the confounding global reaction. I went into a deep depression and struggled with how to reconcile this seemingly new world perspective on Jews and Israelis. Having lived in Israel as a child, and growing up as a first-generation American to Israeli scientists - I have been troubled by the reactions to say the least. I have always felt that artists serve the world best by articulating their perspective through their art - this was my attempt to bring something positive to the conversation, some light to the darkness. I did not want this moment to pass without standing up for my people and what I know is right but did not want to add to the vitriol. This piece is my attempt at that. The film online has had an incredible reaction with over 1 Million views across social media and over 15 Million views on select clips. I hope it resonates with you too.
