Filmmaker Statement

Vänner holds a deeply personal place in my heart, as it draws from my own journey as a queer youth. I aimed to craft a film that authentically portrays the process of embracing one's identity. The narrative centers around two friends, exploring the intricacies of their relationship after one reveals their feelings for the other. Through this story, I aim to shed light on the complexities of emotional connections and portray an experience not often represented in the media.
