The story is a simple interpretation of humans' purpose on earth, which could be nothing, but Vulpes discovers the good and bad characteristics that make humans different from other animals. I am always drawn to ideas that challenge behavior and explore the human psyche while incorporating poetic elements, but ultimately the idea for this short came from my friend saying, 'What if Aaron (Vulpes) turned into a fox?' and that was that.
